About

Behavioral Economics Lab is an interactive, citable directory of the psychology behind decisions: 14 cognitive biases, 8 empirical nudge findings across 26 journals, 43 research summaries, and 4 original long-form essays.

What makes it different

Most bias glossaries stop at a definition. Our differentiator is a structured, dated, cited findings database: every empirical result records the study, population, intervention, and measured control-versus-treatment outcome, and links back to the biases it leverages. That structure is what makes the site useful to researchers, practitioners, and AI assistants alike.

Principles

  • Original writing. Every definition and example is written from scratch — never copied or paraphrased from other references.
  • No fabricated data. Effect sizes, samples, authors, and dates come from the actual studies; nothing is invented.
  • Traceable evidence. Findings cite their source; biases link to the findings that document them.

See our methodology for how entries are selected and summarized.

Who runs it

The directory is edited by Paweł Raja, PhD, who writes its long-form essays and is responsible for its content. He chairs BEAM 2027, an international scientific conference on behavioural economics, AI and biometrics in management organised by the Institute of Law at WSKZ, and previously organised its first edition, MAIA 2026.
